Cameron Smith’s mentor praises ‘unbelievable’ performance to win British Open
Star Aussie golfer Cameron Smith has delivered a stellar final round to win golf’s British open.
The Queenslander shot a course record equaling round to overtake Ireland’s Rory Mcilroy and seal the win.
Head of high performance at Queensland Golf and Cameron Smith’s mentor Tony Meyer joined Jim Wilson on Drive with his reaction to the historic win.
“When the going gets tough the best comes out in him and today was no different,” he said.
“To chase down Rory, to do it the way he did… unbelievable.”
