‘Cancer scam’: Alan Jones slams Bill Shorten’s ‘ludicrous’ cancer policy
Alan Jones has ripped into Labor’s “dishonest” cancer policy.
Labor’s budget reply promised an extra $2.3 billion dollars in funding to cut expenses for cancer patients.
Bill Shorten is claiming that under a Labor government, patients will only need their Medicare card to fight cancer.
But Alan Jones is calling him out, saying the government can’t legally force doctors to accept the Medicare rebate as their total payment.
“It’s ludicrous, it’s dishonest.
“Everywhere you turn this bloke doesn’t know what he’s talking about.”
Former CEO of the Health Insurance Association Russell Schneider says Bill Shorten simply hasn’t done his research.
“It’s quite tragic actually, it really is giving people false hope, and when you’re suffering from cancer it’s bad enough to worry about that.
“It’s a cruel deception.”
