“Can’t build crap”: NSW Planning Minister addresses housing developments
NSW Planning Minister, Paul Scully has addressed the housing development problem and the government’s plan for building new homes.
New incentives have been implemented to motivate developers to incorporate a 15% affordable housing component, resulting in faster approval processes.
Mr Scully emphasised the priority of granting first responders access to housing in close proximity to their workplaces.
“We should be building high-quality good homes for people”, he said.
“That’s what people expect when they’re putting their hard-earned cash into buying a place or even renting a place, they want a good quality product”.
