Casual contact COVID alerts in Sydney for suspected Central Coast Omicron case
NSW Health has issued an exposure alert for a likely case of the Omicron COVID variant active on the Central Coast and in Parramatta and Ryde.
A fully-vaccinated traveller isolating at home will become the fifth case of the new variant in NSW when confirmed.
The case was active in the community before the direction to isolate was announced.
In addition to the other passengers on the Doha to Sydney flight, people who attended venues including multiple stores in Parramatta Westfield, Coles in Top Ryde and several Central Coast supermarkets and takeaway outlets have been deemed casual contacts of the case.
