Chaos ahead: ‘Sorry’ Sydney Airport boss just delivered 2GB some bad news
Well, at least he was honest…
The Sydney Airport CEO Geoff Culbert joined 2GB’s Jim Wilson today to apologise to commuters for scenes of chaos as staff shortages caused staggeringly long lines and delays on Friday.
But he also brought bad news.
“It’s not going to improve over the next couple of weeks,” Culbert admitted, adding that on Easter Thursday “it’ll be similar to what we saw over the course of Friday next week.
“We’re doing everything we possibly can so we can get the experience over Easter as painless as possible.”
Press play to hear the full (and somewhat ominous) interview
Culbert said “we’re encouraging everyone to come to the airport early”, ideally at least three hours before international flights and two hours prior to domestic flights.
