The musical spat between Clive Palmer and an American rock band over the use of their hit 80s song has escalated.

Twisted Sister frontman Dee Snider says the political hopeful is ignoring a cease and desist order, after allegedly using the band’s 1980s hit ‘We’re Not Gonna Take It’.

Mr Palmer used it as inspiration for the theme song in his television advertisement (see below) promoting his recently registered United Australia Party.

But Mr Palmer says the song is a “rip-off” of the Christmas carol ‘O Come, All Ye Faithful’.

“You couldn’t make this stuff up, seriously!” says Ross Greenwood.

And now the United Australia Party leader is calling on Home Affairs Minister Peter Dutton to cancel the frontman’s visa ahead of his forthcoming Australian tour.

“Can you imagine that application on Peter Dutton’s desk?”
