‘Concerning’: Sydney’s most polluted swimming spots revealed
One in five swimming spots in NSW have been rated as having “poor” or “very poor” pollution levels.
The annual report provides an overview of water quality at 214 swimming locations across the state.
Western Sydney University water scientist Dr Ian Wright told Jim Wilson there has been a reduction in water quality overall across the region.
“Coogee Beach was really poor, which is a little surprising and came out of nowhere.”
“Also up in the Central Coast there are a few areas to be worried about.”
