Confectionery favourite Violet Crumble to be made on Australian shores
Australian confectionery favourite the Violet Crumbles is once again being made on home soil.
The Aussie company which bought the treat back from Nestlé earlier this year begun production in South Australia on Wednesday.
Producers Robern Menz CEO Phil Sim tells Ross Greenwood they’re up to scratch.
“Nestlé have been terrific in that we’ve been able to tap into their expertise and people who’ve been making it for quite a number of years.
“The brand is synonymous as far as iconic food bars in Australian heritage.
“I think the difference with Violet Crumble is it hasn’t had much love for the last decade or two.
“So the opportunity for us is to take a well-loved brand and rejuvenate it.”
