Cricket Australia board member Mike Baird has addressed the controversy surrounding the handling of Justin Langer’s role as coach.

Langer has resigned after being told he had to reapply for his job amid reports several players find him too aggressive.

Mr Baird told Ben Fordham while it’s “disappointing” the decision will be respected.

“What’s played out shouldn’t diminish who Justin Langer is and what he’s achieved.

“It’s not about the last four years, it’s about the next four years.”
