Criminal psychologist weighs in on repatriation of Islamic State children
Four Islamic State wives and 13 children have landed in Sydney over the weekend.
Another 43 women and children remain in Syria and are due for repatriation in the next few months.
NSW is seeking safety assurances from the federal government on this operation.
Criminal psychologist Tim Watson-Munro told Ben Fordham that the children can still be positively influenced.
“The risk can be reduced, I’m not saying it can be eliminated though.
“I don’t know that the children should be punished by the sins of the parents.”
