A freshwater crocodile has been found in a backyard in the NSW Central Coast suburb of Umina.

A man named Ely found the creature, which was a metre long, with his 11-year-old daughter Alexis.

Crocodile Keeper Billy Collett from the Australian Reptile Park was then called and leapt into action.

Press PLAY to hear what occurred and how the creature may have ended up in the backyard
