Crucial Cogger the key cog in star-studded Panthers premiership run
Penrith five-eighth Jack Cogger is bringing his own strengths into a star-studded outfit as he steps up to fill in for the injured Jarome Luai in the halves.
Cogger played a key role in helping the Panthers reach their fourth straight Preliminary final after they defeated the Warriors 32-6 in front of more than 21,000 roaring fans on Saturday at BlueBet Stadium.
The 26 year old is headed to the Knights next year after reinventing his career at the foot of the mountains in 2023 and told The Continuous Call TeamĀ he’s not trying to replicate Luai.
“We’ve changed a few things, obviously I’m a different player to Jarome, he’s pretty unique,” Cogger said.
“I’m not going to try and play like him, I’m bringing my own strengths to the team and hopefully benefit the guys around me.”
