Darryl Brohman has called on Maroons coach Billy Slater to include Newcastle superstar Kalyn Ponga on the bench for the State of Origin decider against the Blues.

Ponga is making his return from a foot injury in Sunday’s clash with Canberra.

“If he (Kalyn) comes out and plays well today, I’d have him in the squad,” Brohman said.
