Singer and Today Extra host David Campbell has shared with Deborah Knight the reasons behind his selections for new cover album The Saturday Sessions.

One of his selections, Saltwater, he praised for the remarkable “prescience” of artist Julian Lennon 30 years ago.

“He spoke about the climate crisis and what was happening.

“In the video clip of this song, it’s a city of people living in masks! I could not believe it!

“I don’t want my kids to be in a world where the water’s rising, or there’s extreme storms or extreme bushfires.”
