David ‘Thirsty’ Morrow is today celebrating a massive 50 years in radio. 

The Continuous Call Team host started his career on this day in 1971 and has since covered eight Olympic Games, 42 seasons of NRL and just about every sport under the sun.

Thirsty told Ray Hadley the milestone has crept up on him.

“Yesterday I just made a throwaway line to Mark Levy and you know what it’s like if Mark Levy gets hold of it and then Brohman gets a hold of it…”
