Chief Cricket Writer of the Sydney Morning Herald Malcolm Conn told Mat Thompson there has been so much cricket recently, and people are starting to turn away.

“A lot of these games are being crammed in because of Covid and broadcast commitments. The crowd is almost a bonus if you get one.”
