NSW Premier Dom Perrottet has told 2GB Drive the recovery from floods will be a “very long journey” and “the most important issue facing our state.

Speaking live from ravaged Lismore on his first day back from paternity leave, Mr Perrottet said he’s already seen large steps towards recovery.

“The people of the Northern Rivers are remarkably strong,” he said, adding that the recovery was focused on building “greater resilience for the future.”
