Treasurer Dominic Perrottet is set to become the Premier of NSW following Gladys Berejiklian’s shock resignation.

A deal has been struck with factional bosses to insert Mr Perrottet as Premier, with Stuart Ayers as his Deputy.

Environment Minister Matt Kean will become Treasurer.

Ms Berejiklian announced she was resigning from parliament after ICAC launched an investigation into whether she breached public trust.

Channel 9 Senior State Political Reporter Chris O’Keefe told Ben Fordham Rob Stokes is expected to pull out of the running this morning.

“He doesn’t have the numbers.”
