A medical expert has explained why there is a COVID vaccine that’s safe for everyone, regardless of illness.

A small proportion of the population might not be able to get vaccinated because of medical reasons.

But the Westmead Institute for Medical Research Clinical Professor Graeme Stewart told Ray Hadley these people “do not exist”.

“There is a COVID vaccine product for everyone.

“Some people can’t take Pfizer, some people can’t take AstraZeneca, but these percentages are way under one per cent.”

Dr Stewart has suggested NSW should aim to vaccinate 97 per cent of the population, with the belief that only three per cent of the population are anti-vax.
