Drive saves Western Sydney man $1,200 on toll fines
Yesterday, Scott Daley called into Drive with Chris O’Keefe to report that he had been fined after his E-TAG suddenly stopped working.
Today, he told Chris that the company responsible has now completely cleared up the full $1,200 excess in administration fees.
“They apologised profusely and made the clear statement that it’s not how they want to do business,” Scott said.
Linkt has reviewed the admin fee and cut it down to about $145:

A 2GB listener has blown the whistle on receiving a $1,200 bill on admin fees from Linkt.
Scott Daley is a Physiotherapist from Colebee in Sydney’s West and has two cars that travel through tolls to the Eastern Suburbs for clients.
The E-TAGs had been set to auto top up, but last month something went wrong and the auto top-up stopped.
It took about a month for him to realise anything was wrong because the company Linkt responsible for the tolls made no effort to get in contact with him.
Scott told Chris O’Keefe that the E-TAG in his car started to beep funny and later noticed his Linkt account was suspended.
“To get it un-suspended they sent me a $300 bill and sent through an invoice of just about over $3,500,” Scott said.
Linkt hasn’t been able to “explain” why the excess bill and are still looking into the issue.
