Four people, including the driver, are in hospital after a passenger train derailed and crashed into a car in Wollongong.
A car was hit by the four-car train at the West Dapto Rd intersection, Kembla Grange, early Wednesday morning with 10 passengers evacuated.
NSW Police Superintendent Craig Ireland told Ben Fordham a witness saw a man running from the area.
“There’s a good chance the car had been stolen.
“We’ve spoken to the owner, a local female from the area, and she tells us no one had permission to drive the car.”
