The NSW Liberals have failed in their bid to change the members of a committee regarding their failure to nominate members for the upcoming council elections.

Sydney Morning Herald reporter Alexandra Smith says the state faction of the Liberal party is in trouble and is dysfunctional.

“They have been in a mess for years, they haven’t been able to get preselections done on time. They’re more interested in fighting one another than fighting Labor and independents, something had to happen,” she told Chris O’Keefe.
