NSW Education Minister Sarah Mitchell has weighed in on the government cutting funding to a program which has been helping students.

Kids have fallen behind as a result of online learning and literacy and numeracy standards are on the decline.

Minister Mitchell told John Stanley they are redistributing $75m throughout schools at the start of next year.
