Fewer than half of Australia’s GPs are offering bulk billing, according to a new survey.

Data from Clean-Bill has found outside Sydney and Melbourne, fewer than one-third of practitioners provide bulk billing.

Making matters worse, Sydney patients are paying more than $42 out of pocket to see a doctor.

Belmore GP Dr Jamal Rifi and Shadow Health and Aged Care Minister Anne Ruston joined Chris O’Keefe to discuss what the Federal Government can do to help bulk billing GPs.
