Election madness: Posters on a pedestrian crossing

Politicians putting their corflutes on power poles is a mainstay of election campaigns, but Independent Upper House candidate Elizabeth Farrely has corflutes up on a pedestrian crossing pole.

“She’s got one election poster on one side of the pole, another election poster on the other side of the pole and right in the middle is the button you pressed across the road,” Chris O’Keefe said.

“So there’s the arrow and the little silver button that you pressed across the road sandwiched in between the two election posters.

“So to reach the button, you’ve basically got to squeeze your arm in between the corflutes.

“Well, I reckon that wouldn’t be straightforward for someone who struggles with their eyesight or is blind or vision impaired.”
