Emergency accommodation a ‘big challenge’ amid flood recovery
Northern NSW Recovery Coordinator Deputy Commissioner Mal Lanyon has said the flood recovery process is “moving at pace”.
The Deputy Commissioner told Ray Hadley, “the clean up is in full swing”.
A main area of concern is finding emergency accommodation for flood-affected victims and all options are being considered.
“There’s not an oversupply of vacant accommodation.
“We have moved 1100 people into emergency accommodation.”
