Where would we be without our emergency services? 

They are often overlooked, but without the tireless work of police, fire fighters, ambulance,  paramedics and rescue personnel life as we know it would be very different.

This Friday 1st June, 24 finalists will acknowledged  in the 2018 Rotary Districts and Clubs of NSW and ACT Emergency Services Community Awards (RESCA) in acknowledging and celebrating outstanding Community Service of NSW and ACT Emergency Service Members.

Finalist Debra Scanes from the NSW Volunteer Rescue Association, spoke to Kayley Harris about why she’s volunteered for 24 years.
