‘English w****er’: Ray clips Piers Morgan as Aussies retain Ashes
Ray Hadley has delivered a stunning serve to polarising pundit Piers Morgan after the media icon blasted the way the Australians retained the Ashes, with rain forcing a washout in the crucial fourth Test.
Trailing 2-1, England had the Aussies on the ropes before rain denied the hosts a chance to level the series going into a deciding fifth Test.
While it was clear early on in the fourth Test that rain was going to play a factor in the outcome, it didn’t stop Morgan from being highly critical of the Australians during and after the washout.
“It will be the greatest travesty in the history of Ashes cricket if the trampled, battered, beleaguered, Bazballed, desperate, white-flag-flying Aussies now avoid inevitable defeat and retain the urn because of bloody rain,” Morgan wrote on Twitter prior to the washout.
Ray didn’t hold back in responding to the polarising pundit’s fierce criticism.
“It’s called the weather, old mate, it’s very unpredictable,” he said.
