Officers at Parklea Correctional Centre, in Sydney’s north-west, will strike for 72 hours for improved safety and better pay.

Community and Public Sector Union general secretary Stewart Little told Luke Grant, the prison has the state’s worst record for serious assaults on prison officers.

Staff will rally at nearby Davison Reserve from midday.
