Erin Molan: ‘Just another example of the minority banging so loudly’
Animal rights groups are claiming victory over Taylor Swift’s recent cancellation of her Melbourne Cup appearance.
Steve Price reveals the back story behind the original deal to get Taylor Swift to perform at the Melbourne Cup.
“It took over a year to get this deal across the line,” explains Steve Price.
“She was going to sing two songs in the mounting yard just before the horses went out for the Melbourne Cup.
“That’s all blown up because some small outfit that campaigns against horse racing, calling it cruel, has managed to get to Taylor Swift and her management.
“And now all of a sudden she isn’t available.”
Erin Molan, who owns her own racehorses and who has spent a lot of time around the industry disagrees with the petition, telling Steve these racehorses, “are so well looked after”.
“It’s just another example of the minority banging so loudly that people who aren’t educated in this think they’re the majority – and we see it all the time.
“I would be against any type of cruelty in any environment.
“And I tell you what, they are the most indulged animals in the world.”
