EXCLUSIVE: Albo, Shaq part ways on The Voice campaign

NBA legend Shaquille O’Neal won’t be participating in any efforts to advocate for a Yes vote on the Indigenous Voice to Parliament referendum, despite having reached an agreement with Prime Minister Anthony Albanese to produce a video campaign.

The four-time NBA champion made headlines during his visit to Australia last year when he held meetings with the Prime Minister and Linda Burney.

“I’m here in your country, whatever you need from me, just let me know,” O’Neal said at the time. “We all know Shaq loves Australia.”

At the time, the Prime Minister revealed that O’Neal had agreed to create a series of videos endorsing the Yes vote.

However, as per Chris O’Keefe, any videos supporting the Indigenous Voice to Parliament will not be happening.
