EXCLUSIVE: Former ICAC commissioner calls on investigation into Jo Haylen, as former ICAC Silk calls for Josh Murray to RESIGN
Things are getting hotter within the NSW Labor Government, with Jo Haylen’s scandalous hiring of donor and mate Josh Murray to a key role getting murkier. Now, a former ICAC Counsel Assisting has called for Josh Murray to resign and an ex-ICAC assistant commissioner has called for full investigation into Jo Haylen.
Geoffrey Watson SC, a former Counsel Assisting the ICAC and now the Director of the Centre for Public Integrity, has called for Josh Murray’s resignation, believing his role to be untenable.
“He should recognise his position’s untenable and he should resign or alternatively, restart the hiring process”, Watson told Chris O’Keefe.
Immediately after, former ICAC assistant commissioner Anthony Whealy said Chris Minns should look at an independent investigation into potential breach of ministerial conduct by Jo Haylen during the hiring process.
“I think it’s a very poor look for the government”, Whealy told O’Keefe.
