EXCLUSIVE | Josh Morris backs Dylan Edwards as shock Origin bolter
Former NRL star Josh Morris has backed Penrith fullback Dylan Edwards to play for NSW if James Tedesco isn’t fit when State of Origin comes around.
Last year’s Clive Churchill Medal winner has continued his outstanding form this season and topped it off with four tries in last night’s 44-12 demolition of Manly.
The Continuous Call Team member said Edwards would be a more than capable replacement if Tedesco missed out.
“I’m going to throw it out there, if James Tedesco doesn’t play fullback for the Blues, Dylan Edwards should,” Morris said.
“He’s been one of the best fullbacks the last couple of years.
“We’ve got Turbo and Latrell but I think you could easily put Turbo on the wing, (and) Latrell in the centres.
“If Teddy doesn’t play he would be a great substitute for him.”
