The Child Sexual Offences Evidence Program aims to reduce the trauma of court processes for victims of child sexual abuse by bringing together police, the courts and witness intermediaries (also known as Children’s Champions).

Attorney General Mark Speakman has today announced the NSW Government will invest around $65 million over four years to expand the nation-leading Child Sexual Offences Evidence Program to every District Court and Police District in NSW.

The program had already been rolled out in the Sydney District Court and the Newcastle District Court.

It aims to reduce the trauma of court processes for children and young people who are victims of child sexual abuse.

Attorney General Mark Speakman explained more to Ray.
