EXCLUSIVE: Peter Dutton fires back after being labelled ‘divisive’ by Jim Chalmers
Peter Dutton spoke with Ray Hadley, where he responded to Treasurer Jim Chalmers’ remarks, in which Chalmers suggested that Dutton “is the most divisive leader of a major political party in Australia’s modern history.”
The Opposition Leader didn’t hold back in his reply, accusing Chalmers of leveraging the Voice referendum result, where Australians voted no, as a scapegoat for his frustrations.
“What he’s talking about, is the voice,” Dutton told Ray.
“We took a position on the voice to vote against it.
“If I’m divisive as a result of that, well, he’s accusing millions of Australians of exactly the same crime.”
