NSW Police have launched an investigation following shots being fired in the southwestern Sydney suburb of Greenacre.

Police confirmed to Ray Hadley exclusively that emergency services had been called to a house in Greenacre around 10:25am after reports of gunfire.

First responders found an injured man with gunshot wounds upon arrival, who is now in a serious but stable condition in hospital.
