EXCLUSIVE: US Consulate in North Sydney vandalised

EXCLUSIVE: Police have responded to reports that the US Consulate in North Sydney was vandalised after photos emerged of major damage to the building.
In a statement, NSW Police said: “Police are investigating after a building in North Sydney was vandalised this morning. Officers attached to North Shore Police Area Command were called to Miller Street after a person damaged nine windows with a hammer shortly after 3am today (Monday 10 June 2024).”
“Graffiti was also painted on the door. Police have sourced CCTV following a canvass of the area which shows a person as wearing a dark coloured hoodie – with their face obscured – carrying what appears to be a small sledgehammer.
“Police are appealing for anyone in the area about this time who saw the incident, or who has dashcam or information relevant to the investigation, to call Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.”
