Extinction Rebellion will be protesting in the Sydney CBD this afternoon as commuters attempt to make their way home.
The protest will start at Martin Place at 5pm and activists will then make their way down George Street.
Chief Inspector Paul Dunstan tells Ben Fordham the protest is approved, but police won’t be tolerating any disruption.
“There’ll certainly be no supergluing, Ben. They’ve given us the required seven days notice.
“We’re okay to facilitate that… it’s when they don’t get up or when they don’t move on or if they do glue themselves, that’s when we’ll have the problems.”
