Family members banned from visiting terminal patients in Nepean Hospital ward
An infectious disease outbreak at a Nepean Hospital ward is preventing families from visiting loved ones.
Listener Peter has been prevented from seeing his wife Donna amid the visitor ban in the Oncology Ward.
On top of this, Peter claims “the public elevators to floor 7 do not work … visitors have to wait for nurses to take them back down in the secure staff elevators, which only half are working.”
He told Ben Fordham the patients are struggling.
“You have to apply every day and beg to get in there.”
