There’s been a fatal truck crash on the Snowy Mountains Highway, between Cooma and Adaminaby, resulting in the death of a male driver believed to be in his 50s. 

The crash involved one of the B-Triple trucks taking concrete to Snowy Hydro 2.0 project, where the vehicle crashed, rolled onto its roof and caught alight.

Firefighters rushed to the scene as thick black smoke filled the air, but sadly it was too late to extinguish the fire. 

Police are now investigating the crash and the project has been delayed.
