Ryan Fowler, who lost his son to a rare disease, is aiming to raise money for a fourth children’s hospice in Australia by running from Brisbane to Sydney. 

Following their loss, Ryan and Karen Fowler launched “Rio’s Legacy”, and Ryan is now raising awareness and funds for the cause.

Currently, Australia has only three such facilities, and Ryan’s monumental journey from Brisbane to Sydney seeks to shed light on this dire need and rally support.

Ryan is covering approximately a marathon’s distance daily. He highlighted the importance of hospices, expressing, “It’s amazing what they do for families… especially for those going through the toughest thing, which is knowing that your child is not going to live.”
