‘Fix it!’: Ben Fordham blasts ‘hopeless’ AEC shunning COVID-positive voters
People who tested positive for COVID before 6pm on Tuesday and missed the window for postal voting won’t be able to vote in the federal election tomorrow.
The eligibility for telephone voting is restricted to people who tested positive after 6pm on Tuesday.
Voters who acquired COVID-19 early in the week were expected to apply for a postal vote, applications for which closed at 6pm on Wednesday.
Ben Fordham says denying people the right to vote is “undemocratic”.
“Everyone must have their say.
“I think the AEC has proven they’re bloody hopeless … they must find a way.”
