Ford to axe more than 100 jobs, will take work to the US
Engineers and designers are among more than 100 workers to lose their jobs at Ford in Victoria.
About 40 salaried workers, 75 hourly workers and 90 contractors will be affected, the company confirmed on Thursday, as the automaker further consolidates its operations.
Ford’s engineering work on its Ranger and other models “will be led out of the United States”, the company said in a statement.
CarAdvice’s Paul Maric tells Ross Greenwood it’s “always disappointing to see these job losses”.
