‘Forget this factional rubbish’: Scott Morrison slams NSW Liberals’ ‘childish games’
Prime Minister Scott Morrison has slammed the NSW Liberals still focusing on preselections months out from the federal election.
State executives rejected a motion that would endorse sitting MPs – Immigration Minister Alex Hawke, Environment Minister Sussan Ley and North Sydney MP Trent Zimmerman – who are under threat from preselection challenges.
The delays have allowed other candidates to campaign unopposed in the lead up to the election.
Scott Morrison told Ray it’s “very frustrating”.
“There’s some childish games going on there.
“Those playing games … need to ensure they focus on winning this election and forget this factional rubbish.”

The Prime Minister has also brushed aside leaked text messages between Gladys Berejiklian and an unnamed minister after it was brought to his attention at the National Press Club.
“It was pretty brutal yesterday but I thought it would be quite frankly,” he said.
