Former pollie turned businessman ‘run off his feet’ with bookings ahead of Freedom Day
The city is set to reopen to the fully vaccinated on Monday, and former federal politician turned businessman Craig Laundy has been inundated with bookings as the city opens back up.
At one of his venues, the Woolwich Pier Hotel, 178 seats had been booked out of a possible 232 for the Monday night dinner session.
“I can tell you the people are coming out of the woodwork bookings wise,” he told Jim Wilson on 2GB Drive.
“I’m talking to other people in the industry, and they’re feeling the same.
“People are voting with their feet Jim, they’ve had enough of being locked down and they want to get out and about.”
