Former Salvation Army worker charged with historical sexual abuse
A former Salvation Army worker has been charged with the historical sexual abuse of two boys on the Central Coast.
Police say the 69-year-old man met the boys through his work with the Salvation Army at Lambton.
It’s alleged he abused the two boys, aged 10 and 14, on multiple occasions in the late 1990s.
The former Salvation Army soldier is facing multiple charges, including seven counts of aggravated indecent assault of a victim under the age of 16 and three counts of sexual intercourse with a person aged between 10 and 16.
He will appear at Newcastle Local Court later today.
