French man arrested over disgusting act on war memorial
A French man has been arrested after allegedly urinating on an Anzac Memorial in Sydney’s CBD overnight.
Police say the 22-year-old man was walking through Hyde Park just before 10pm when he approached the memorial and urinated on it.
Officers arrested him on site and he was charged with committing an offensive act on a war memorial/interment site.
The French national was granted conditional bail and will face court in January.
