A fundraiser has been established to support the children and partner of a Brisbane father burnt to death.

33-year-old Stanley Obi was asleep in bed when his ex-partner, Sarah Mudge, broke in and doused him in petrol.

His partner, Colletta was in the bed with him but managed to survive, along with his four children.

The home burnt to the ground and Mudge died in the fire.

A day earlier, Mr Obi had been granted custody of their children.

A GoFundMe has been started for the survivors.
