‘GetUp has finally exposed itself’: Left-wing group launches ‘reverse popularity contest’
Left-wing social campaign group GetUp is planning a major attack on a number of Liberal MPs by launching what’s being called a reverse popularity contest.
The organisation has launched a website when Australians can choose politicians they wanted booted from government.
Among those in the firing line are Barnaby Joyce, Scott Morrison and Craig Kelly.
Senator Eric Abetz says it reveals the group’s hyper-partisan nature.
He tells Luke Grant it’s good news “GetUp has finally exposed itself”.
“It cannot be considered a genuinely issues-orientated organisation but rather a political machine that helps Labor and the Greens.”
