Gladys Berejiklian admits there’s no Foley friendship
NSW Premier Gladys Berejiklian has admitted she’s NOT friends with Opposition Leader Luke Foley, in an awkward on-air moment.
On Thursday the Labor Leader told Ben Fordham their heated debates aren’t just politics and that there’s no love lost outside of parliament.
“I got on pretty well with her predecessor Mike Baird. We could have an argument but then it was always pretty civil.
“I’m not sure but this one’s never bought what I’ve been selling. She’s not a big fan but that’s alright.”
The Premier did nothing to quash the story.
“I can’t say that I know him personally, Ben, but I respect his position.
“I wouldn’t say we’re friends, and that’s the honest answer.”
Mr Foley did agree to meet with Ms Berejiklian in person, calling for a pre-election debate on Ben’s show.
The Premier isn’t as keen.
“Oh look, I’m happy to discuss things with you anytime, and I do regularly, and let’s just leave it at that,” she says to Ben.
And when he asked the question again, her response was abundantly clear.
“No no no, it’s okay…”
